Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Rowan Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of El Paso, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We reward reliability. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loads and lanes, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
