Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Orchard Environmental Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to collection routes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
