Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Corner Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Richmond region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
