Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Clear Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Jacksonville, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jacksonville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
