Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Harborlight Rowan Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Virginia Beach. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
