Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bright Solutions is a facilities company in El Paso with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with cleaning schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
