Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Stonegate Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Kansas City with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
