Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Nova Keystone Health is a healthcare provider in Omaha with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to electronic records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with electronic records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
