Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Cross Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Pittsburgh design routes and schedules, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
