Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Thistle Markets and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with pricing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
