Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Umber Facilities is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 547 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
