Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Stonegate Loom Auto Group Partners operates automotive service and parts businesses around Honolulu, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
