Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Summit Logistics is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for grower contracts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with grower contracts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
