Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Redstone Community Partners is a nonprofit in Columbus supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around client intake against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with food distribution. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
