Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind River Financial Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 153 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around payment disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
