Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Greenridge Iron Early Learning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around tuition and subsidies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
