Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Fernwood Bright Financial is a financial-services company in Oklahoma City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 181 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Oklahoma City. • We reply to every applicant.
