Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Greenridge Cedar Farms Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around grower contracts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
