Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Rook Markets is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for store inventory, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to store inventory, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
