Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Highbridge North Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around parts orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
