Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Granite Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
