Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Ivory Inspection Services Partners tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Providence, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
