Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
