Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Kestrel Learning Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 112 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
