Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Basin Legal Group is a law firm in Baltimore serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to intake forms, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around billing records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
