Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Glen Banking Services is a community-focused bank in San Diego serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 58 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to deposit accounts, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
