Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bright Kestrel Community Partners runs community programmes across Salt Lake City, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client intake, and clear open items. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
