Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Redstone Willow Medical is a San Antonio company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to complaint handling, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
