Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Fernwood Thistle Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for batch records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
