Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Sparrow Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Tulsa with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to collection routes, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around landfill records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tulsa. • We reply to every applicant.
