Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Stonegate Bridge Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 114 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around hardship programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to meter readings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
