Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Fernwood Mill Arts Center Group runs a venue and education programmes in Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around exhibitions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ticketing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with ticketing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
