Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Nest Community Partners is a nonprofit in Minneapolis supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Track costs around grant reporting against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
