Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Pike Community Partners is a nonprofit in Miami supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Miami. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
