Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Highbridge Umber Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Tulsa. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
