Accountant - fixed assets (Raleigh, NC)

Silverline Hollow Arts Center is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for exhibitions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to exhibitions, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around visitor services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with exhibitions.
