Accountant - fixed assets (Raleigh, NC)

Bright Harbor Farms Group is an agricultural business based around Raleigh, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
