Accountant - fixed assets (Raleigh, NC)

Stonegate Rook Press Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 138 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around bindery work against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proofing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
