Accountant - fixed assets (Providence, RI)

Amberfield Linden Facilities looks after properties across the Providence region, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supply orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
