Accountant - fixed assets (Providence, RI)

Harborlight Drift Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for clinic supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
