Accountant - fixed assets (Providence, RI)

Stonegate Corner Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Providence producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
