Accountant - fixed assets (Portland, OR)

Cedar Wilder Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Portland area, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
