Accountant - fixed assets (Portland, OR)

Bluepeak Wren Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
