Accountant - fixed assets (Portland, OR)

Foxglove Kestrel Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for quality documentation, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to quality documentation, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with quality documentation. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
