Accountant - fixed assets (Portland, OR)

Westbrook Keystone Inspection Services is an inspection company in Portland with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around certifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
