Accountant - fixed assets (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Birch Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 138 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
