Accountant - fixed assets (Pittsburgh, PA)

Greenridge Oak Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Pittsburgh. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
