Accountant - fixed assets (Pittsburgh, PA)

Ironwood Fox Property Management is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for unit turnovers, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 245 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around lease renewals against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with unit turnovers. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
