Accountant - fixed assets (Pittsburgh, PA)

Ironwood Meadow Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for vehicle inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with vehicle inspections.
