Accountant - fixed assets (Phoenix, AZ)

Greenridge Iron Markets Group is a Phoenix retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
